Knights News

It's that time of the year. Bridgeview will be participating in the KIDS HEART CHALLENGE for the American Heart Association. This year's theme is Be The Torch. Last year, 68 students registered. Our goal this year is for 210 students to register. Last year we raised an astounding $8,284 for the AHA. This year's goal is $10,000, and I think we can do it! There are many incentives, class challenges, etc. The first incentive is for any student who raises $150 before our Kick Off Assembly on February 1st will receive Franky (see flyer in link below).
This year, we are really encouraging families to complete the CPR section of Finn's Mission:
If someone you love suffers a cardiac arrest, are you prepared to act? The statistics for CPR are staggering - only about 1 in 10 people survive an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest. Therefore, other than raising funds, we are on a mission for families to learn the lifesaving skill of Hands-Only CPR through your school’s participation in the program. When you sign-up, your student can complete Finn’s Mission, a digital journey named after eight-year-old heart survivor Finn, that takes you through a variety of challenges, including learning Hands-Only CPR and how to spot the warning signs of a stroke, while raising awareness and funds to change lives.
Register today and complete Finn's Mission under Bridgeview Elementary, at heart.org/khc
If you have any questions, please contact me by email ([email protected]) or on Schoology.
Thanks,
